The project proposed does not align with open government practices.

The project is essentially taking the opendata from the grants and contributions proactive disclosure, filtering the relevant records, then showing it in an interface - which is a excellent reuse of data.

Anyone can generate the same data by filtering the grants disclosure data - https://open.canada.ca/data/datastore/dump/1d15a62f-5656-49ad-8c88-f40ce689d831?q={"prog_name_en":"creative <-> export <-> canada"}&plain=false

However this project does not comply with the attribution requirement of the Open Government Licence, and worse yet it doesn't licence the information in the tool under a open licence. This tool takes opendata and puts it into a copyrighted output that cannot be used except under the restrictive Crown copyright terms.
